Line Steel Pipes and Tubes
The strategic importance of oil and gas transportation and distribution for the energy supply has emphasized the production of line steel pipes and tubes. Corrosion proofing, water based paint is applied on the outside pipe surface to protect against atmospheric corrosion during transportation and storage and a 3-layer protective PE coating can be applied on pipes at the Customer's request.
Line steel pipes are long distance pipelines for combustible liquids and gases. Seamless line pipes used for construction of long distance pipelines for combustible liquids and gases, nuclear station pipelines, heating system pipelines, general-purpose pipelines. Thus, toughness requirements for line steel tubes are more complex than the tensile property requirements.
Line steel pipes are manufactured and smelted in the electric furnace, treated with synthetic slags and cast by continuous casters. The applied steel making process ensures the achievement of chemically pure steel with reference to sulphur and phosphor contents providing high tensile, ductility and corrosion resistance properties of pipes to be operated at low temperatures in various corrosion media. |
Standard Steel Pipes and Tubes
Circular welded non-alloy steel pipes of circular cross-section not more than 406.4 millimeters (16 inches) in outside diameter tubes are generally known as standard steel pipes and Tubes. Regardless of wall thickness, the surface finish of standard pipes are black, galvanized, or painted and the end finish is plain end, beveled end, threaded, or threaded and coupled. Unfinished conduit pipe is also included in these orders. Standard pipe is produced in Continuous Weld, Electric Resistance Weld, and Seamless.
These pipes are intended for the low pressure conveyance of water, steam, natural gas, and other liquids and gases in plumbing and heating systems, air conditioning units, automatic sprinkler systems, and other related uses. Standard steel pipes and tubes may also be used for light load-bearing applications, such as for fence tubing and as structural pipe tubing used for framing and support members for reconstruction or load-bearing purposes in the construction, shipbuilding, trucking, farm equipment, and related industries. |
Structural Steel Pipe and Tubes
Those pipes, which does not meet the rigid requirements of the intended specification due to some chemical or physical flaw are known as structural pipe. Structural steel pipes and tubes are those which can be knocked-down and are then bolted together at the site, where it is to be used. These pipes are generally used where plant-fabricated pipe cannot be installed, are not big enough or do not have the strength to support the loads imposed on them.
Structural steel tubes come in various shapes with circular, square and rectangular cross-sections and are used for drainage pipe, small bridges or numerous other construction or industrial applications. The application ranges from culverts, sub-drains, sewers, service tunnels, etc. Structural Steel pipe and tubes governs the chemical and mechanical properties of structural steels and are also used for general construction and engineering purposes. |
Industrial Steel Pipes
We are offering Industrial Steel pipes & Carbom Steel Pipes GR.1,GR.6,GR.A, B, C, LF2GR.X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, X70 also in PSL1, PSL2. |
Square Steel Pipes and Tubes
In a large number of industries, square steel pipes are used. The production of this kind of pipes is increasing day by day. With compare to round steel pipes, square steel pipes are little more efficient. The reason is that the square column is more efficient than the solid circular column.
In a traditional space frame, for the bar members, circular hollow section members are used. At the joint section, by welding along a curve surface, the bar members are joined. Therefore, this process takes very long time and seems to be difficult. To make the problem easier, square steel pipes are used. The square steel pipes are used in a special configuration. Both the perpendicular sides of two square steel pipes are respectively aligned in perpendicular and parallel to the plane of the frame bodies. In this case, by butt-welding, the cross points of the bar members are joined along a short weld line.
|
Hollow Steel Pipes and Tubes
Hollow steel pipes are available both in rectangular and square shape. These hollow steel pipes are used in various industries vigorously. The magnitude of the wall thickness of these hollow steel pipes varies from one application to another application. The advantage of the hollow steel tubes and pipes lies in their trimming process. In compare to concrete floats, these hollow tubes and pipes can be trimmed easily by using ballast. This trimming process continues until the stability and drought are not achieved. Hollow steel pipes and tubes have very high strength. These are specially used in the construction industry. These pipes and tubes have very high durability. |
Rectangular Steel Pipes and Tubes
Rectangular steel pipes and tubes are used in different industrial applications. These are used for accomplishing different purposes. The common areas, where these rectangular pipes and tubes are used are: supermarket racks, container fabrication, auto fabrication, motor cycles, doors and windows, industrial plant structure, bicycles, furnitures etc. There are several parameters for defining the rectangular pipes and tubes. These parameters are length, width, height, welding gap, radius, diameter etc. According to the nature of the requirements, the size of the rectangular steel pipes and tubes can be altered. |
Galvanized Steel Pipes and Tubes
Galvanized Steel are those steel that has been covered with a layer of zinc metal. During galvanizing, steel is immersed in a molten zinc bath, ensuring a tough, uniform barrier coating. Zinc's natural corrosion resistance provides long-term protection, even in outdoor environments. Apart from preventing water corrosion, it is equally effective in dry, indoor environments.
Galvanized Steel Pipes and Tubes made of galvanized steel has long been one of the most used building materials in the world. For decades, designers, builders and consumers seeking long-term structural performance in the harshest of outdoor applications have turned to zinc-coated steel pipes. Zinc-coated galvanized steel pipes and tube resist the attack of wind, water and road salts. |
Corrugated Steel Pipes and Tubes
Corrugated steel pipes and tubes are available in various shapes and sizes to meet the drainage, sewer and transportation needs. Years of dependable service and modern engineering technology has made CSP the material of choice for culverts, storm sewers, sub-drains, underpasses, service tunnels, detention chambers and recharge systems.
Research has shown that corrugated steel tube and pipes generally provides outstanding soil side durability, and with proper coating and invert paving can virtually attain any required service life. Maintenance cost can be effectively controlled through modern structural and durability design criteria. The behavior of both soil side and the effluent side of the pipe have been rigorously studied. |
Seamless Steel Pipes and Tubing
Seamless steel pipes and tube comes in all kinds of sizes including thin, small, precise, slender and other special pipes and are used for steam boilers and pipelines, installations with high and supercritical steam conditions. These pipes and tubing are manufactured by commercial, electric furnace bearing, consumable, electrode vacuum melted quality steel. These impart strength and durability to the pipes and thus can be used for corrosion-resisting applications.
Seamless steel come in finishes such as hot rolled, cold drawn, turned, roto-rolled etc. After the end finishing, all pipes are then pressure tested on a machine. Following a final visual inspection, pipe is weighed, measured and stenciled. External coating can then be applied if required. It is involved in the applications for aircraft, missiles, anti-friction bearing, ordnance, etc. Ultra high strength and corrosion-resistant properties makes these perfect for oil & gas industry, chemical industry and car industry. |
ERW Steel Pipes and Tubes
Based on the end user customer's requirement, ERW (electric resistance welded) steel pipes and tubes are available in various qualities, wall thicknesses, and diameters of the finished pipes. While manufacturing ERW steel pipes, only high-quality, continuous-cast, fully killed, control-rolled, fine-grain, low-carbon steel is used. High performance ERW steel pipes and tubes possess high strength corrosion resistance, high deformability, high strength and high toughness.
Before reaching the market place, ERW steel tubes and pipes are routed through numerous tests including a hydro-test, an ultrasonic weld inspection, bevel check, micrometer check, straightness evaluation, and ring gouge to ensure it’s quality. These pipes are used in fencing, line pipes, oil country tubulars, scaffolding, water and gas conveyance, structural, engineering purpose. There has been a tremendous increase in the production of ERW steel tubes due to growing demand in oil & gas industry, infrastructure and automobile usages. |
Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron which contains more than 10% chromium that generally prevents corrosion. These come in wide variety and are highly resistant to attack by organic acids, weak mineral acids, atmospheric oxidation, etc. The use of stainless steels in manufacturing pipes is based primarily on their corrosion resistance properties. The last decades have witnessed a rapid development of the manufacturing and production of stainless steel pipes and tubes. Pipes make up the largest individual segment in the stainless steel market world over and it is one of the fastest growing serving the needs of the oil, petrochemical, refinery and process related industries. Produced by continuous pipe manufacturing method and sufficient solution heat treatment, it is used for anti-corrosion, high temperature, low temperature and ultra low temperature purposes. |
Alloy Steel Pipes and Tubes
Alloy Steel contains substantial quantities of elements other than carbon such as nickel, chromium, silicon, manganese, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium and limited amounts of other commonly accepted elements such as manganese, sulfur, silicon, and phosphorous. Addition of such alloying elements is usually for the purpose to increase hardness, strength or chemical resistance. Pipes made of alloy steel have exceptional performance properties. These are generally developed for energy-related applications involving oil and gas drilling and are subjected to stresses in machine parts. Alloy Steel Pipes and Tubes are also used in daily life, catering to the domestic, professional or industrial needs. In recent years, the demand for alloy steel tubing has been increasing along with the economic growth. |
Carbon Steel Pipes and Tubes
Carbon steel, the most widely used engineering material, accounts for approximately 85% of the annual steel production worldwide. Carbon steel is common or ordinary steel as contrasted with special or alloy steels, which contain other alloying metals in addition to the usual constituents of steel in their common percentages.
The tubes and pipes made of carbon steel imbibes its properties like ultimate tensile strength, yield strength and hardness. Despite its relatively limited corrosion resistance, carbon steel pipes and tubes are used in marine applications, nuclear power and fossil fuel power plants, transportation, petroleum plants and construction. |
Mild Steel Pipes and Tubes
Pipes made by mild steel contain carbon contents of less than 0.18%, and is therefore not hardened because of low carbon content. Mild steel is available in a variety of structural shapes that are easily welded into pipe, tube, tubing etc. Mild steel pipes and tubes are easy to fabricate, readily available, and cost less than most other metals. In well protected environments, the life expectancy of mild steel pipe is 50 to 100 years.
Generally, these pipes are coated with other metals such as copper, to protect from corrosion. Mild Steel pipes and tubing are used for structural purpose and mechanical & general engineering purpose. It is also used for drinking water supply and the use of chlorination and sodium silicate inhibit corrosion in mild steel pipes. Extra care is always required to keep mild steel pipes from rusting. |
Iron Steel Pipes and Tubes
The strength of the Iron steel makes it a perfect material for manufacturing pipes. Iron steel pipes possess ultimate tensile strength, yield strength and hardness, at the same time these are corrosion resistant. Iron steel is available in a variety of finishes including galvanized, paint over galvanized (powder coat or liquid), dulled and darkened galvanizing.
Usually, iron steel pipes and tubing are lined with cement mortar. The aim of this standard is to protect the internal surface of cast iron steel pipes and fittings used in pipelines. Iron steel pipes and tubes are utilized in the transportation and distribution of water for domestic and industrial use. |
Black Steel Pipes and Tubes
When steel pipe is forged, a black oxide scale forms on its surface to give it the finish which is seen on this type of pipe. Because steel is subject to rust and corrosion, the factory also coats it with protective oil. Those black steel are used for manufacturing pipe and tube, which will not rust for a long time and requires very little maintenance. It is sold in standard 21-foot lengths TBE.
Black steel pipes and tubes are cut and threaded to fit the job. Fittings for this type of pipe are of black malleable (soft) cast iron. They connect by screwing onto the threaded pipe, after applying a small amount of pipe joint compound on the threads. Larger diameter pipe is welded rather than threaded. Black steel pipe is cut either with a heavy-duty tube cutter or cutoff saw or by hacksaw. |
Industrial Steel Pipes and Tubes
Industrial pipe is a broad category of fluid and solid transport hardware used in many applications and industries. Usually cylindrical, pipe and rigid tube is used in process, energy, construction, and many civil infrastructure applications. Industrial pipes and rigid tubes are manufactured from a wide variety of materials for the transport of an equally wide variety of solids and fluids. Industrial pipe construction and material specifications are application-dependent; user consultation with pipe suppliers is typical for optimization of pipe selection. |
Steel Water Pipes and Tubes
Water pipes are tubes that carry pressurized fresh water to buildings. It is well known that steel is one of the leading materials in the modern industry and for many years it has been the favored material for water pipes. Such a large application of steel water pipes and tubes are stipulated by their optimal excellent properties: high values of strength and fracture stability in combination with the reasonably good ductility and flexibility, tensile strength, elongation and reduction in area.
Stainless steel water pipes and tubes sustain longtime exploitation such as friction and corrosion as well as aging. Even after years of use, these pipes don’t practically change characteristics such as hardness and brittleness. Steel water tubes installed underground are subject to corrosive forces unlike those subject to above ground items. Forces due to soil, water and gases are kept in mind, while designing stainless steel water pipes. For underground application, welded and seamless types of steel pipes are used for the construction of water pipelines. |
Sewage Pipes
The most innovative and universal sewage pipe available in the market today are made up of steel. Sewage treatment cleans water containing human or industrial waste, thus the pipe carrying these waste are subjected to continuous corrosion and pressure. Steel is found resistance to effects of many chemical substances. The pipes are coated with sturdy metals such as Zinc that makes these pipes suitable for sewerage application. In addition, a range of proven external coatings is available to suit all types of ground conditions and above ground applications, such as pumping stations and treatment works.
Sewage pipes made of steel sustain gravity or high pressure, are corrosion resistant and minimizes embedded requirements. These pipes are available in full range of diameters and fittings, to suit different ground conditions and pressure ratings. Simple and quick to install, high strength allows these pipes to cope with uneven longitudinal loading and make them resistant to damage and disruption. |
Oil and Gas Pipes
Thermally insulated steel pipelines are extremely important for oil and gas industry. Steel pipelines, which lie buried for hundreds of years, has extraordinary properties including excellent stress crack resistance to natural gas and its contaminants, low permeation to methane and hydrogen, high HDB rating at 20°C, 60°C and 80°C, superior impact resistance, squeeze off, and dependable UV performance for outside storage. The insulation material is usually polyurethane foam (PU), which has high thermal efficiency and is mechanically strong.
Small, medium and large diameter pipes are available and the high strength of steel also makes bending and forming more difficult. Generally, Electric Resistance Welded (E.R.W.) steel Pipe are used for oil and gas processing and transmission lines registered and assures consistent quality in its application. These oil and gas pipes are equally good in hot or wet applications such as river crossings and rough terrain. The use of steel provides standard for pipe suitable for use in conveying gas, water and oil in both the oil and natural gas industries. |
Steel Casing Pipes
Casing pipes are used for casing for oil and gas wells. Steel casing pipes and tubing are applied to furnishing and installing cased tunnels, where they indicate to pass other utilities or obstructions without open excavation. Steel casing pipes and tube have smooth wall and a minimum yield strength of 35,000 psi. Corrosion-proofing water-based paint is applied on the outside pipe surface to protect against atmospheric corrosion during transportation and storage. The pipes can be delivered with metal or composite caps at both ends for thread protection.
Casing pipes are manufactured out of steel are smelted in the electric furnace, treated with synthetic slags and cast by continuous casters. The applied steel making process ensures the achievement of chemically pure steel with reference to sulphur and phosphor contents providing high tensile, ductility and corrosion resistance properties of pipes to be operated at low temperatures in various corrosion media. Pipes are heat-treated in a computerized walking beam furnace. Steel grades and heat treatment regimes applied allow high-strength pipe to be obtained. |
Structural Steel Pipes and Tubes
Rejected pipe which cannot be classified as a prime product because of some physical or chemical defect is sold by the mills to steel pipe distributors, distributors of steel products, fabricators, and consumers. These structural steel pipes and tubes are available in CW, ERW, DSAW and seamless, in all sizes, weights, and classes of material. Although reject pipe carries no warranty whatsoever, it can have application for structural purpose.
Few of the typical examples where reject pipe has been used as structural steel tubing and pipes are handrails, columns, posts, piling, sand-wash, casing, culverts, fence, caissons, sign poles, bumpers, bracing, parking meter posts, towers, supports, rollers, etc. Structural steel pipes and tubing are normally priced substantially under prime pipe and can affect large savings in the right application.
